I found myself indulging in the picturesque views, appreciating the light Windermere wind or breeze and experiencing the steady and soothing movements of our steamer … Yes, Gradtech were attending the International Partners Conference at Cumbria!
The University of Cumbria kindly invited Gradtech to attend the International Partners Conference from 31st March to 3rd April 2014. Cumbria organised the event as means of providing a platform for proactive partner interaction, to encourage discussion around trends within international student recruitment and to offer greater familiarisation for all; with the University of Cumbria and the courses and programmes on offer.
The four-day event was implacably organised and very wide-ranging. Indeed, our day started on Monday 31st with an arrival and welcoming event, a great chance to meet with fellow partners and participants. The event itinerary included faculty presentations, campus tours, participant presentations, Q/A sessions and afternoon tea with the Vice Chancellor, Professor Peter Strike and Deputy Vice Chancellor, Professor Sandra Jowett. Together with the comprehensive technical side of the event, attendees took part in a tour of Carlisle Cathedral and a timely ending boat trip on Lake Windermere.
Gradtech thoroughly benefited from and enjoyed the International Partners Conference, a big thank you to the International Development department and to the University of Cumbria for such an experience.
